I'm still alive!

Oi pessoal! Puxa, de repente me deu uma vontade de acessar meu antigo blog e aqui estou. Minha vida mudou bastante. Mas está ótima, acima de tudo. Estava relendo minhas ultimas postagens e me surpreendi: é muito bom ter um registro de seus escritos antigos. Leva-te a pensar no quanto você mudou. Estou com outro blog agora. Raramente posto lá também. De qualquer forma, foi ótimo reviver os velhos tempos.

It has been years - or just months - since I last posted something here. I've been kind of lazy to write here. And plus, Blogspot system of writing and formating posts has changed. I don't know how to format through HTML.

Como de costume, dei uma sumida do blog. Já sabem que escrevo por gostar e quando estou a fim. No entanto, estive meio sem idéias ou sem vontade a última semana. O post de hoje será breve. Hoje assisti dois filmes. Um de Steven Spielberg e outro de Michael Bay. Um deles, o de Spielberg, creio que a maioria já assistiu: Guerra dos Mundos. Já o de Michael Bay, que filme! Chama-se A Ilha. É uma história fascinante... por isso, como gosto de, como diríamos em inglês spoil the end, que seria "contar o final" aqui vai. No final... (haha, to brincando... é melhor vocês assistirem mesmo). Ah, e assisti Indiana Jones também =)

"With all due respect, sir. You should stop drinking". Have you ever heard something like that? If so, do you know what the expression "with all due respect" means? That's simple. In order to remember this expression, I will use a movie that many people have watched that already. The movie is "A walk to Remember", which in Brazil was translated as "Um amor para Recordar". But what is the reference?! Well, can you remeber, if you've watched, when Landon Carter asks permission to Jammie's Father in order to have dinner with her? I will make things easy for you. He goes to the church where the reverend is and tries to convice him. He says, "with all due respect sir", and the man says back "with all due respect, Landon, you can leave through that door" (something like that). I am doing this to help you to have a easy way to bring the expression back to your mind. Okay, let's stop messing around!

"With all due respect" means "Com todo o respeito". That's a very commom expression. I bet you have used that yet, haven't you? Okay, that all for the time being. You will be able to read more posts as soon as I write them (of course). GBU. (God Bless You). CYA.
